It’s tough to find a bad cup of coffee. And two, clean air.
Where is your favorite happy hour in Portland?
Higgins Bar—classic Portland. I love the culinary history of Higgins. The chef/owner, Greg Higgins, was one of the pioneers of the sustainable food movement nationally, and has long been a huge proponent of fresh, locally grown and raised food. As it’s tough to find bars and restaurants in Portland that have that “patina,” I love that Higgins has an old-school tin roof—reminds me of my days in Chicago.
What’s the best flight to get between Portland and New York?
Continental to Newark. Non-stop without the “red eyes”.
What’s the best way to pass the time on a Portland to New York flight?
Reading a novel. Now that I have kids I never normally have time. I’m currently reading Sway: The Irresistible Pull of Irrational Behavior by Ori Brafman. Nothing like receiving clarity around why clients “zig” while you are thinking “zag.”
What is your favorite iPhone app?
Digging a new app called Whrrl. Skeeball is a close second.
